Meeting for Worship

We enter the Meetinghouse quietly and sit wherever we like. We then try to quiet our minds and bodies while sitting in silence, waiting for a sense of the spirit. Should anyone feel moved to speak, the person stands (if readily able) and gives a short message. We don’t comment on the message but simply listen to it in a receptive state. It is customary to leave a period of silence between messages. After approximately an hour, a Friend (or Frequent Attender) will close the worship by rising, greeting everyone in attendance. Everyone then does the same. Afterwards, there will be a sharing of afterthoughts, announcements, and introductions, followed by socializing.

Please note that we interactively simulcast our Meeting for Worship online (using Zoom) for use by our existing Members & Frequent Attenders. Online attenders are able to speak & see a view of the Meeting Room. Please stay on MUTE unless you are speaking. Please consider showing your face via (either live web cam or via. a still image), a small monitor in the Meeting Room allows in person attenders to see those on Zoom. Due to the smaller size of our meeting and limited Zoom equipment, we are, unfortunately, not able to share our Zoom link publicly, and only offer Zoom access to those who are already Members or Frequent Attenders.
